What is Tigart?

Tigart is the center of Salien life. Tigart was founded in 6631 BCE by Aratar and his followers. It was the Salien stronghold deep within a circle of high mountains. Tigart is located on an island in the middle of Tigart Lake in the Tigart Valley. The lake serves as a natural moat for the fort.

Tigart started as a small fort but has grown in size and complexity. Many of the Salien homes and forts are located near Tigart, while others are closer to Esgalon. During the War of the Three Powers, Tigart grew to be a major fort and stronghold. Many of the Salien, including the Verdadama, the Pauladama, many of the Evadama, and the Elegia occupied Tigart. The Battle of Tigart Fields took place in 2331 BCE in the Tigart Valley in front of the fort.

Since the Battle, Tigart has become the main training campus and cultural center for the Salien. The current Council Chamber is located deep beneath Tigart. Most Salien spend some time training at Tigart where lessons in the magical and fighting arts and sciences are taught. In addition, Tigart has an elaborate system of portals connecting most of the Salien People to Tigart. Tigart is also linked to the Magiesa Osonas (known as the "Mall of Magic"), the commerce center of the Salien.
